Booking Accommodation

The Department will ensure that when booking accommodation for staff and family members during the conduct of Children's Services business and to facilitate a child's Care Plan that all expenditure should be necessary and reasonable in amount and nature.

The Department's preferred option is for staff and families to utilise Premier Inns or Travel Lodges as these offer best value terms and good quality facilities.The Department's experience is that the above facilities offer safe and reliable accommodation.Accommodation will be booked as far in advance as possible to ensure best value.

Frequency

The frequency of visits requiring accommodation will be in accordance with the level of social working visiting, statutory reviews and family visits as detailed in the Child's Plan.
